Mardaani 2 In a Trouble as Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla alleges it for Maligning A City’s Name
As the makers released the trailer of the film Mardaani 2, it created a huge buzz in the media making everyone excited about the same. The trailer had a great response and was applauded for the high action drama the actress was able to portray on the silver screen. However, amidst all the buzz and applauds, we saw someone getting an update. He is none other than Mr. Om Birla the Lok Sabha speaker.
As the trailer surrounds the city of Kota where the cases of rapes were shown in the film and Rani in her cop avatar is seen after the criminal the LS Speaker said that the film is somewhere maligning the image of the city. It has made him upset thanks to the wrong portrayal of his town on the silver screen. He said the people in the city have a different image and what he sees in the trailer is against the legacy of Kota.
In fact, a bunch of people even came out on the streets of Kota and protested against the film. The LS Speaker also met the same and is with them asking to remove the name of the city. Well, let’s see how things would move from the makers’ end but at the moment things are not in the right shape. The film has been made in Kota and other places in the state of Rajasthan, while it is directed by Gopi Puthran. The movie is all set to hit the screens on 13th December 2019.
