Manu Rishi Chadha is an actor, lyricist, script and dialogue writer who hails from Delhi. He was born on 3rd Jan 1971 in Delhi where he was brought at the city. He did his schooling from Cambridge School, New Delhi and then completed his graduation from the University of Delhi. He started his career working in plays in Delhi. He was linked
with the group called Asmita theatre group and he did more than 40 plays working with the director Arvind Gaur.
Some of the plays include Girish Karnad’s Rakt Kalyan, Swadesh Deepak’s Court Martial, Mahesh Dattani’s Final Solutions, William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, Dario Fo’s Accidental Death of an Anarchist, Dharamvir Bharati’s Andha Yug, and Eugene O’Neill’s Desire Under the Elms. He then headed to Mumbai 2001 to enter into films. He then got his debut with the film Saathiya in 2002. He then got the film Raghu Romeo in the next year. Since then it was no looking back for the actor.
Some of his films include Mixed Doubles, Ek Challis Ki Last Local, Mithya, Oye Lucky Lucky Oye, Aisha, 10 MI Love, Phas Gaye Re Obama, Band Baaja Baraat, Chance Pe Dance, Soundtrack, Ekk Deewana Tha, Life Ki Toh Lag Gayee, What The Fish, Ekees Toppon Ki Salaami, Ankho Dekhi, Kya Dilli Kya Lahore, and Tanu Weds Manu Returns. Some of his recent films include The Zoya Factor, Setters, Nanu Ki Jaanu, and the upcoming movie Angrezi Medium. He did Kross Connection as a Dialogue/Screenplay writer. He was recently seen in the film Pati Patni Aur Woh playing Mukhtar Singh.
