The film Manjhi-The Mountain man starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radkhika Apte, though was seen taking up a lower start, however, the following two days in its first weekend witnessed a decent surge. As per the reports, the biopic film picked up gradually with the passing day. Thanks to the word of mouth buzz created for the film, Manjhi got a decent surge. After all, the performance of the man at the centre in this film – Nawazuddin Siddiqui was simply awesome. His incredible performance was able to draw audience far and wide giving a decent collection at the end of the first weekend of the film.
As per reports, the first weekend box office collection for Manjhi The Mountain Man tolled to around 6.5 crores, which is really a decent amount considering the low budget film. The film was able to collect 1.40 crores, while it has collected 2.25 crores followed by 2.85 crores on Sunday. The movie primarily was able to witness a low collection due to its leakage over the web, which helped the people to download the movie to catch the same. Also, the other actor that hampered the film was due to the limited number of screens the film was able to get especially over the multiplexes. Hence it was not able to fetch higher footfalls it expected this weekend.
