Mandana Karimi Slams ‘One-Sided’ Iran Coverage, Urges Indian Media to Give Platform to Reza Pahlavi

In a candid and heartfelt interview with Bollywood Hungama, actress and activist Mandana Karimi revealed the personal and professional challenges she has faced due to her outspoken advocacy for Iran amid the escalating Middle East conflict. She shared how her career in India has come to a halt because of her political stance.
Since January, I’ve basically stopped working. All my contracts got canceled. I’ve become too vocal, too open about politics. I’ve reached out to platforms asking, ‘Let’s talk about it.’ I have videos, images from Iran so why isn’t this being covered?” Karimi expressed, highlighting her frustration over the silence despite having firsthand material. Known for her roles in Bigg Boss 9 and Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3,
Karimi also criticised parts of the Indian media for biased reporting. “No one has genuinely covered it. When they do, it’s about how strong the regime is. Many have bought into the government’s propaganda. The Iranian regime is known for using influencers and certain reporters to shape the narrative. I’m deeply disappointed with how Indian media has handled this. The coverage today is so one-sided and inaccurate,” she said. Karimi urged Indian news outlets to amplify opposition voices, specifically calling on them to feature exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi.

“I request Indian media—whoever’s watching this to ask yourselves: If you’re inviting the murderous Iranian regime’s cabinet to India and giving them a platform, why aren’t you inviting Reza Shah Pahlavi or those working alongside him? We want to share our side of the story too,” she appealed.
She concluded with a sharp reminder: “Every story has two sides. It’s never one-sided. You’re reporters; your job is to report the news. So why not invite Reza Pahlavi and have an honest conversation?”
Her remarks come amid rising tensions in the region. As of March 2026, joint US-Israeli strikes targeting Iranian officials and military sites have escalated the conflict, prompting missile retaliations from Tehran and disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz. With internal unrest and leadership uncertainties in Iran, the humanitarian crisis deepens underscoring the urgent need for balanced and comprehensive global coverage.
