The 2 minutes 30 seconds trailer begins with people submitting missing person reports for their daughters and sisters. Soon after, Sub-inspector Anjali Bhaati reveals that all of the missing girls vanished under similar circumstances, prompting her to launch her own inquiry with the assistance of two other police inspectors played by Gulshan Devaiah and Sohum Shah.

During their investigation, police discover 27 similar cases of mysterious suicides by girls, and Sonakshi’s cop believes it is the work of a single serial killer who trapped all of these missing girls and convinced them to drink poison. During their investigation, they come across one suspicious man, ‘Anand,’ played by Vijay Varma. But he is a simple family man with a wife and a daughter who is also a college professor. As a result, there is no evidence against him.

The trailer promises a suspenseful whodunit thriller full of twists and turns. Sonakshi appears to have done an excellent job in the role of a female sub-inspector. In her hometown, she is referred to as “Lady Singham.” Sohum Shah and Gulshan have also been quite helpful. However, it is Vijay Varma who immediately captures your attention, and it appears that we will see him in many spine-chilling moments throughout the series. The trailer has certainly raised the bar for the series.

Dahaad was created by Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar and is directed by Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi. Dahaad, produced by Excel Media & Entertainment and Tiger Baby, will be available on Amazon Prime Video from 12 May, 2023.
