Major: The release of the film based on Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s life postponed

The war drama, Major starring Adivi Sesh as the martyr Sandeep Unnikrishnan have been postponed. The makers made an official announcement of the same today. Due to the lockdown led by Covid-19, the makers decided to wait until things get back to normal.

Earlier, the film was slated to release in multi-lingual on July 2nd 2021. It is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The story of the film is based on real-life heroes.

The makers of Major made an official announcement for the delay of release saying, “We are living in unprecedented times and we hope you all are following all the safety protocols and staying safe. Our film Major, which was originally scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 2nd July, is now postponed to a later date:
WE WILL ANNOUNCE THE NEW RELEASE DATE ONCE THINGS ARE BACK TO NORMAL.
Times are tough but so are we.
– Team Major”.

Major will celebrate the heroic deed of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan.

Besides Adivi Sesh, the film also stars Saiee Manjrekar, Sobhita Dhulipala in pivotal roles. Major is directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka and is produced by Sony Pictures Films India in association with Mahesh Babu’s GMB Entertainment and A+S movies.
