Mahira Khan Removes Instagram Post Condemning Pahalgam Terror Attack

Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, renowned for her role alongside Shah Rukh Khan in the 2017 Bollywood film Raees, has deleted her Instagram post that condemned the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The attack, which occurred on April 22, 2025, tragically claimed 26 lives, predominantly tourists, and has generated widespread grief across India and beyond

.On Thursday, April 24, Mahira took to her Instagram Stories to describe the attack as an act of “cowardice.” Her message read, “Violence anywhere in the world, in any shape or form is an act of mere cowardice. My condolences to all those affected by the attack in Pahalgam,” accompanied by a broken heart emoji. However, by Friday morning, the post had been removed, leading to mixed reactions online. Other Pakistani celebrities also expressed their condemnation of the attack, standing in solidarity with the victims’ families. Fawad Khan, for instance, shared his sorrow on Instagram, stating, “Deeply saddened to hear the news of the heinous attack in Pahalgam. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this horrifying incident.” Additionally, both Hania Aamir and Mawra Hocane voiced their grief and support for those affected.

The Pahalgam attack, one of the deadliest incidents in the region since the 2019 Pulwama bombing, specifically targeted tourists in the picturesque Baisaran Valley. Reports suggest that the assailants questioned their victims about their religion before opening fire, deepening the tragedy’s impact. The incident has drawn widespread condemnation from global leaders, Indian political figures, and Bollywood stars, including Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, and Salman Khan, among others, highlighting the international outrage surrounding this brutal event.
