Maharashtra Governor appreciates Sonu Sood for helping migrant workers

Dabangg actor Sonu Sood met Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Saturday in Raj Bhavan, Mumbai and discussed the initiative taken by him to help migrants reach their home states.

The actor gave information about his ongoing work and the Governor appreciated the efforts of the ‘Singh is King’ actor to understand the problems of migrant laborers to reach home and make food for them.

Prior to this meeting, on 27 May, His Excellency the Governor also praised Sood over a phone call and posted the information on Twitter.

The Governor of Maharashtra tweeted, “Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari called actor, filmstar Sonu Sood and praised his dedicated work to facilitate safe transportation of migrants from different states.”

Sood, while replying to the tweet, said that the Governor’s appreciation has inspired him to work more hard. Sood tweeted, “Thank you very much Sir. Your words inspire me to work more hard. We will continue to work for migrant brothers and sisters.

The 46-year-old actor, best known for his roles in films like ‘Singh is King’, ‘Simba’ and ‘Dabangg’, was promoted throughout the media for arranging to help migrant laborers to visit their respective homes.

Sood’s pictures have been winning hearts on the internet since the beginning of May, calling the workers sitting in buses as byes. Hundreds of migrant laborers are stranded in urban areas with no livelihood and have to walk to their homes to survive during the COVID-19 lock-down.

The actor has won many hearts with his selfless and compassionate actions. He left no stone unturned to help migrant laborers reach their hometowns, which were stranded in the city due to a nationwide lock-down. Did everything for them.

After helping the expatriates in the city, Sonu recently sent air help to 177 girls trapped in a locked-down Debich Ernakulam, Kerala. These girls were doing sewing and embroidery work in a local factory and due to COVID-19, they could not go anywhere immediately after the factory was closed.

Apart from this, Sonu Sood recently donated 1,500 PPE kits for doctors in Punjab. Not only this, he also arranged food for thousands of migrant laborers of Bhiwandi on this auspicious occasion of Ramadan. Earlier, this talented actor gave his hotel in Mumbai to live in the medical staff.
