Call him Mahaakshay Chakraborty or Mimoh is a one of the popular actors of B Town. His surname would only indicate his origin, yes you guessed it right, he is the son of the veteran actor fondly known as Dada or Mithun Chakraborty. He was born and brought up in Mumbai on 30th of July 1984 in the prestigious family of Dada. His schooling was carried out till 4th grade in Mumbai’s Learner’s Academy and then headed to Ooty to complete his schooling from two different schools – Hilwoods and Woodside, however, he did his 10th from Standard Board Exams privately from Coimbatore. Finally he headed to LA, the United States of America to do his 4 weeks crash course in Acting the prestigious group called NYFA (the New York Film Academy). He then did his 4 week crash course in Indian Classical Dancing, Kick Boxing and Horse Riding from Chennai. He then pursued the three week’s workshop.

Apart from learning a number of things, he also learnt and still practises Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) India while has even completed one of the Online Courses in creative writing from Gotham Writers in 2014 followed by another course in Astronomy and Astro-Biology through Courseera. Now talking about his film career, he has done his debut with the film Mimoh playing the lead role in an action flick called Jimmy in 2008. The character he played was that of a DJ who falsely accused of Murder, which finally bring in into the crime world. He was even nominated for this role under the Best Male Category for Debut male actors. This then led him another film called The Murderer, which is all set to hit the theaters soon.

In 2011, he got the movie called Haunted-3D, which was among the first Indian stereo scopic 3D horror film. It turned out to be a big hit giving loads of accolades from the audience and critics, which was his first movie. The next film was Loot wherein he is seen playing a boy next door who is being carried out all the way to Pattaya, Thailand to rob a house along with his crime partners Govinda, Javed Jaffrey and Suniel Shetty and then are seen looting a wrong house at the end. The movie was big flop and it has received a negative review from most of the critics in India. The other movie includes Enemmy with his own father and Sunil Shetty. His upcoming movie is Ishqedarriyaan, which comes with Evelyn Sharma.
