Maddock Horror-Comedy Universe Expands: Aneet Padda Starrer Shakti Shalini Officially Wraps Up Production

The highly successful Maddock Horror-Comedy Universe—the creative force behind blockbusters like Stree, Bhediya, and Munjya—is officially ready with its next supernatural installment. Production on the upcoming folklore thriller Shakti Shalini has wrapped up in Mumbai, promising a unique cinematic cocktail of dark folklore, high-stakes revenge, and signature situational comedy.

Starring rising talents Aneet Padda and Vishal Jethwa in lead roles, the film has concluded its final schedule and is moving directly into an intensive post-production phase.

A Multi-State Production Journey

According to a comprehensive production report by Mid-Day, the curtains came down on the film’s primary photography on May 27 at Chitrath Studio in Powai, Mumbai.

The wrap-up follows a rigorous, fast-paced shooting schedule that originally kicked off in March. The production team traversed multiple rugged, culturally rich terrains across India to ground the film’s supernatural elements in authentic local geometry:

  • Crucial dramatic sequences were captured across the raw landscapes of Chambal, Datia, Antri, Panihar, Gwalior, and Morena.
  • The team executed high-intensity blocks across Dholpur and Barkhandi.
  • Massive, elaborate soundstages were erected in Powai to recreate the intricate interiors of a traditional Rajasthani estate and an entire village square.

Inside the Climax: Production sources reveal that the final Mumbai schedule involved a massive ensemble setup. The sequence showcases an entire rural community—led predominantly by the village women—coming together to celebrate a historic, folklore-driven defeat of an ancient evil force.

Aneet Padda’s Ambitious Double Role

At the absolute heart of Shakti Shalini is a powerhouse performance by Aneet Padda, who is reportedly stepping into a demanding double role.

The narrative acts as a direct supernatural mirror match: one character symbolizes pure, divine goodness, while her physical counterpart embodies a terrifying, vengeful entity. The plot charts a chaotic, high-stakes spiritual warfare between these two opposing, ultra-powerful personas.

The Folklore Core and Star-Studded Ensemble

The creative backbone of Shakti Shalini is deeply rooted in traditional Bengali folklore. The story draws inspiration from a chilling regional legend about a woman who returns from the dead as an unstoppable, vengeful spirit after being brutally murdered, systematically targeting men to exact her historical revenge.
