Meet Guddu played by Kartik Aaryan and Rashmi played by Kriti Sanon who are seen escalate into a complete blow love. But the couple decides to overboard by opting for a live-in relationship despite being from a small town based in North India. Soon their live-in relationship turns a joint family marriage bringing all the drama in a non-married couple as witnessed in any typical arranged married couple. So, what goes next is the laugh riot which you would enjoy while catching in any theatre close to you.
We can all this film as a situational comedy which moves around the live-in relationships. You find the love story of a local reporter Guddu with hilarious complications. But at the same time, the movie addresses many issues like gender inequality, misogyny, moral policing, and caste bias, which were dealt with harmlessly and funnily. The director though doing his debut in this role has done an excellent job in placing the different roles in different situations. He has shaped the characters of Kartik and Kriti in the most beautiful way. He has kept their chemistry easy going and not crackling. The rumor went smooth at times; there comes a feeling when it becomes repetitive.
The first half is swift and smooth, while the second half seemed quite and unpredictable. Now, talking about the performances both Kriti and Kartik have nailed with their incredible performances. The others like Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi, and Vinay Pathak too have done a decent job. Talking about the other aspects of the film, the direction, music, screenplay, visual appeal and photography seemed okay and somewhere helped to boost the entertainment value of the movie.
Luka Chuppi The Last Word
Luka Chuppi is a fun ride, which entertains people without going too preachy for the family audience. It happens to be a clean entertainer and come along with a message, which does not come along loud but is delivered very much clear.
