Last Friday two movies were released – Luka Chuppi and Sonchiriya. Let’s talk about these films have performed over the box office starting with Luka Chuppi. The film had a fabulous week. Right from the first day to the first weekend, the collection of the film has been a phenomenon. The first-day collection was 8.01 Cr, while the second day it went to increase with 10.08 and Sunday went on to give 14.04. Even Monday went smooth reaching to 7.90 Crores as the film got an extended weekend with Maha Shivratri holiday.
The weekdays like Tuesday and Wednesday the collection went 5.04 Cr and 4.60 Cr, while similar figures were seen on Thursday as well making a decent figure at the end of the first week. So, as per these amounts, the 1st-week box office collection recorded 53.78 Crores, which was superb for any film. The film that was released in 2100 screens ended up doing a great business. The film that was made the cost of 16 Crores and the promotion cost went to 7 Crores, have been recovered and the film is seen in good profit margins.
On the other side, the other film Sonchiriya starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi had a bad collection. The film was bad at the box office with the collection reaching to 1.20 Crores, followed by 1.50 Crores on Saturday and Sunday it increased a bit with 1.90 Crores. Monday was also decent with 1.10 Crores. The weekdays were bad with the collections reaching 70 lakhs and 60 lakhs on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively. This way the film is a colossal disaster if we talk about the box office collections. As per reports, the 1st-week box office collection at Sonchiriya reached to 7.50 Crores. There is no sign of getting any better collection at the box office now.
