The last Friday had witnessed two big time movies releasing in the screens, which certainly include the Lucknow Central. The film has managed to collect a decent ratings and praises for the stellar performances of the lead actors but has now opened up with a low note. Unlike Simran, the film has remained at the lower side of teh collection not just on the first day but also at the weekend as well. The film has an interesting star cast, which include Farhan Akhtar, Gippy Grewal, Diana Penty, Deepak Dobriyal, Inaamulhaq, Ravi Kishan and Ronit Roy.
Talking about the performance over the box office, the film opened up with a good response from everywhere, but had failed to get a strong start.The movie Lucknow Central has opened even the lower collection when compared to the other release known as Simran. As per reports, the first day collection for LC tolled to around 2.04 crores. The figures are similar to the Farhan Akhtar’s last film called Rock On 2 which failed with the similar numbers (2.02 crores) was it was badly hit by the Demontisation. The movie went on to collection 2.82 crore on the second day.
Now talking about the film’s collection on the third day or on the 1st Sunday, the film managed to get 4.5 crore, which is again lesser than the other movie called Simran. So, as per reports, the 1st weekend box office collection for Lucknow Central tolled to around 9.36 crores, which is again a lower collection when compared to the other movie. Farhan who is known to embark on B Town movies with unique films but this time with LC, he seems to have faltered somewhere as it resembles a bit with the earlier movie of Yash Raj Films called Qaidi Band. Nonetheless the dark year of 2017 is also to be blamed for the poor performance of the film.
