Lubna Salim is a TV and theatre actress who hails from Mumbai. She was born on 2nd April in Mumbai and was brought up at this place only. Her father Javed Siddiqui is a known script writer, while she has completed her studies from Mumbai. Her schooling came from a local convent and later headed for her college form Mitibai College, Mumbai. She got associated with theatre as her parents were involved in it as a script writer and a costume designer. She soon got involved in it along with being the part of several cultural shows.
When she was 16 years of age, she tired her luck in films but was not very comfortable doing the intimate scenes with small attires, hence she left it and continued in theatres and later shifted to TV shows as well. Some of the films she did in her career include Just Married (2007), OMG – Oh My God (2012), Call for Fun (2017) as Sheila Mehra and Photograph as Sheilaben. She also remained active on small screen with starting her career in 1988 with Bharat Ek Khoj made on P J Nehru book Discovery of India.
She then was seen in a TV show in 2005 called Baa Bahoo Aur Baby in 2005 followed by Ek Packet Umeed(2008), Mera Naam Karegi Roshan (2010), 2025 Jaane Kya Hoga Aage (2015), Khidki (2016), Rishton Ka Chakravyuh (2017-2018) and Mariam Khan – Reporting Live (2018-2019). She was also seen in web series starting with The Aam Aadmi Family (Season 1 and Season 2 along with Season 3), while she will be seen in The Gone Game soon apart from being seen in Sandwiched Forever –2020 as Manjari Sarnaik recently released on SonyLiv. Talking about her personal life, she is married to Salim Arif a telefilm director and producer and the couple has two sons.
