As the makers of the film Lootcase were supposed to go for a theatrical release on 11th October, however, as per the recent reports, the makers not have canceled the release in the screens as they are planning to hit the same on the streaming platform. Thanks to the popularity of the streaming platforms, innumerable web series and films have emerged on different digital platforms. The film with its interesting story found the release of the film very much apt.
We have a few movies that are intended to hit straight on the streaming platform without treading the usual journey to the cinemas. The film has Kunal Kemmu, Gajraj Rao, Rasika Dugal, Ranvir Shorey, and Vijay Raaz in the leading and supporting role, while it is produced under the banners Fox Star Studios and others. As per the sources close to the film claimed that they had a meeting on Saturday and soon decided to cancel the theatrical release of the film. The reasons are obvious, they want to leverage the growing popularity of the OTT platforms.
The other reason for not releasing the same include the clash of other films like Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and Joker were also releasing the same week, which made the makers of the film Lootcase make the changes in the release option. Also, the release date falls on the pre-Diwali period, when we see the people often tied up with shopping and doing a number of activities that can keep them away from catching the film. So, these factors were enough to affect the film at the box office.
