Scam 2003: Unveiling the Telgi Chronicle – Saad Bilgrami’s Dive into Dongri & Mohammed Ali Road for Portrayal of Abdul Karim Telgi

We know Actor Saad Bilgrami, the popular name in the small screen. As of the latest buzz, he is now gearing up for his next streaming show called ‘Scam 2003: The Telgi Story’. While talking about it, he claimed that he was able to add authenticity to his part in the web based show. It is based on one of the popular stories of the early 2000s wherein the convicted man known as Abdul Karim Telgi is next leading role. For this, he has tried to study the nuances of people from the suburbs of Mumbai like Dongri and Mohammed Ali Road alike.

Talking about his preparation for the role, he explained, “To get into the shoes of the character effectively, I immersed myself in the intricacies of individuals hailing from Dongri and Mohammed Ali Road. It helped him to refine my body language, which seemed so important to play the said character. Initially, there was a strong sense of apprehension, given the opportunity to network with a talented team relatively early in my 4-5 year career span. This was my long-held aspiration  and emerged as the perfect blend of gratitude and nervousness.

Saad Bilgrami also informed that while giving an audition to Hansal Mehta’s film ‘Faraaz’ he came across this role. The film, however, did not work out for him but this web show somewhere came to him and he liked it. He said he has always loved to work with Hansal. Metha – who happens to be the creative director in the said web show called ‘Scam 2003,’ and the same man has remained the co-director on ‘Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story’.

So, it was a dream come true for the man who auditioned for the said movie and somehow got this role for the web show under the guidance and mentorship of Hansal Mehta. He said he loves the work of Mehta and would give him best to grab his attention.
