Deepika Padukone headed to her parent’s place in Bangalore to celebrate the success ‘Gehraiyaan’

Deepika Padukone has been receiving all the good compliments for her recent outing ‘Gehraiyaan’. The film gained good reactions from the audience and the critics and now to celebrate the success of the film the actress headed to Bangalore.

Helmed by Shakun Batra, the film sees her as Alisha. Her character is an immensely layered and complex girl dealing with professional, personal imbalance and losses.

Now that the promotional activities are over and the hectic part is done the actress finally took a breather and left for Bangalore which is her hometown. She will be celebrating the success of the film and the remarkable responses she received with her family.

The actress will be in town for the weekend before returning on Monday to resume her filming schedule and other obligations.

Recently during an interview, she revealed that the most touching response for the film came from her family, she was quoted as saying, “It was a little hard for them to digest what my character goes through. They have seen it so up, close, and personal with me. What they truly appreciated was my performance and also the way mental illness and mental health were depicted in the film, these were the two big takeaways. My family is also proud of the way I pulled this off and there was also a little bit of how do you do this?.”

Deepika recently wrote a thank-you note to her fans for their support of ‘Gehraiyaan.’ Sharing some of the stills from the film. she wrote, “The response to Gehraiyaan has been dizzying to say the least! ‘Alisha’ has been my most visceral, indelible and delicious experience as an artist. While I am ecstatic and overwhelmed, I am also truly grateful and humbled!??”
