Lawrence Bishnoi’s Supporters Burn Effigies of Salman and Salim Khan in Public Protest

In the wake of the assassination of influential political figure Baba Siddiqui, the Khan family’s security has been significantly heightened. Amidst this turmoil, notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi continues to issue chilling death threats against Salman Khan, prompting the actor to limit his public appearances. In response to the escalating situation, members of the Bishnoi community have organized protests, burning effigies of both Salman Khan and his father, Salim Khan.

Recent reports indicate that the Bishnoi community gathered in Jaipur on Saturday to express their outrage over Salim Khan’s statement, which insisted on his son’s innocence in the infamous 1998 blackbuck killing case. Demonstrators were witnessed setting fire to effigies of the superstar and his father, while also releasing a firm statement. As noted in a report by Hindustan Times, the statement asserted, “We are Bishnois; we do not defame anyone lightly. When the case was filed 26 years ago, many respected figures, including the then MLA of the Bishnoi community, were present. Salim Khan cannot mislead the public with false statements. His remarks have hurt our entire community.

We will strive relentlessly to ensure justice is served regarding the blackbuck case and will take our protests to the streets.” In defense of his son, Salim Khan had previously stated that Salman would never harm an animal. Despite Salman Khan’s acquittal, the Bishnoi community remains adamant in holding him accountable, demanding an apology, as blackbucks hold sacred significance within their beliefs.

Recently, both Salman and Salim Khan approached the Mumbai police after receiving threatening messages that were traced back to Lawrence Bishnoi. The situation escalated further in April when their residence in Galaxy apartment was attacked by two assailants.
