After a couple of delays, the film Lateef has finally hit the theatres. However, the film has a big competitor in the form of Dil Dhadakne Do, which is has many stars in it and rich content. So, it’s obvious to see the film not standing against it for many reasons. Now talking about the film Lateef, it is a low budget movie, which revolves around a wrong man being caught in the case of drug peddling, who is being punished for 7 years behind the bars. The performance of Nawazuddin Siddiqui is incredible but it is not enough to save it from the mighty films like DDD.
As per reports, Lateef had a very low occupancy percentage which remained the same 5 to 10 percent in metro places and smaller towns. In fact, the latter did better in terms of occupancy and business considering the fan following of Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Yet it is too minimal to stand against the titans like Dil Dhadakne Do from Zoya Akhtar. As per reports, there is hardly any buzz for the film, thanks to the constant delays and poor promotion of the film. The first day box office collection for Lateef tolled to around 50 lakhs, which is similar to the expectations.
