Lata Mangeshkar’s net worth, cars, residences & other details!

On February 6, India lost its ‘Nightingale,’ as great singer Lata Mangeshkar passed away in her heavenly abode. In early January, the 92-year-old singer tested positive for the coronavirus and was hospitalised to the Breach Candy hospital’s ICU ward.

Her health began to deteriorate again on Saturday, days after physicians had told her that she was showing signs of improvement. She died at 8.12 a.m. on Sunday due to multiple organ failures.

Lata Mangeshkar was credited with almost a thousand Hindi film songs. Lata Mangeshkar, regarded as one of India’s best vocalists, was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honour, in 2001. She has also received numerous other honours, including the Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan, and the Dada Saheb Phalke Award, as well as other National Film Awards.

Lata Mangeshkar’s Net Worth: Various publications claim that the singer’s net worth is $15 million (around Rs 105 crore). Her monthly income is also believed to be Rs 40 lakh, with an annual income of roughly Rs 6 crore.

She was born in Indore in 1929 to a middle-class family whose earnings were insufficient to support her brother and sisters. Her father, Master Dinanath, was a well-known Marathi theatrical personality. However, there were a number of factors that prevented them from purchasing a home. Buying an car was a dream come true for her.

Lata Mangeshkar’s home in Mumbai was dubbed “Prabhu Kunj,” and it was large enough to accommodate at least ten families.

Lata Mangeshkar was a huge fan of cars. Lata Mangeshkar used to drive a Chevrolet, and subsequently a Buick. Following her fame, the singer purchased a Mercedes, which she eventually replaced with a Chrysler, Chevrolet.
