Ranu Mondal needs no introduction now in the world of singing. Thanks to the viral video that a passerby made with her making her an overnight sensation with her voice not less than Lata Mangeshkar. She has won hearts with her melodious voice and has bagged a few songs for the Himmesh Reshamiyaa’s next film Heer and Hardy. The lady was noticed singing Lata Mangeshkar song on the Howrah Railway station and soon was recognized for it as she was brought up at the stage of the reality show.
Lata when she heard about her and her voice was pleased to comment saying that she is happy to hear that her name and song has given fame to the lady who used to sing for her living at the station. She said that Ranu is her senior when it comes to age and her singing talent. She said she had originality in her voice and has not imitated anyone. While pointing many who had imitated singers like her or Rafi Sb and others can get short-lived popularity and not a long-lasting one.
However, her statement in the media turned into a controversy when many claimed that Lata alleged Ranu copying her voice. While Himesh Talking about Ranu said that what Lata Mangeshkar has said was in a completely different context and that Ranu has the talent and if she has taken inspiration from Lata Ji and that’s not wrong. She has not copied to anyone. Ranu has already turned a star after singing the HR’s song from his next film and people are liking her voice.
