Lakshmi Manchu is an actor, TV presenter, and producer. She hails from Chennai and later shifted to the US. She did her schooling and college in different places and was born on 8th October 1977 in Chennai. She did her schooling in her hometown and later headed to the US for further studies. She then returned to Chennai and soon became a part of the South Indian film industry. She started working at the age of four as a child artist in more than 20 films in the South Indian film industry.
After shifting to the US also did a few TV shows with roles. While her debut came with a US-based TV show based in Las Vegas where she got the chance to play the minor role called Sarasvati Kumar, who happens to be the love interest of James Lesure. In 2008, she got the chance to work in English movies including The Ode, Dead Air and Thank You for Washing in different roles. The latter is a Short film. She then returned to Chennai in 2011 and got her debut film in the South Indian industry. Do these include Anaganaga O Dheerudu, Dongala Mutha, Department, and Uu Kodathara? Ulikki Padathara? Kadal and Gundello Godari / Maranthen Mannithen.
Some of these include Doosukeltha, Chandamama Kathalu, A day in the life of Lakshmi Manchu’s feet, Budugu, Dongaata, Guntur Talkies, Basmati Blues, Lakshmi Bomb, W/O Ram, Kaatrin Mozhi, and Mrs. Subbalakshmi. As a producer, she was seen making films like Nenu Meeku Telusa…? Jhummandi Naadam, Uu Kodathara? Ulikki Padathara? Gundello Godari and Dongaata. Talking about her TV shows, she did a number of shows, some of the popular ones including Lakshmi Talk Show airing herself as a host.
