Laal Kaptaan 1st Day Box Office Collection

Laal Kaptaan review

It was a tough day for Saif Ali Khan’s film Laal Kaptaan. All thanks to the fierce competition the film has garnered all around with two more movies releasing the same day including the Hollywood film – Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. Although the Saif Ali Khan revenge drama had a minimal competition with the other movie Life Mein Time Nahi Hai Kisi Ko, yet the collection seemed a bit low going against the wishes of the makers. Saif, on the other hand, has impressed the audience with his intense tough look.

His experiment in a new avatar has impressed the audience and critics alike giving good reviews for the film. The other reason for not attracting masses on day one was the low word of mouth buzz present on the first day. Also, the promotions of the film seemed a bit slower. Yet the first-day collection can be still be called as a decent one in many ways. As per reports, the film started with low occupancy reports at most of the places reaching 25 to 30 percent in the morning and afternoon shows. However, there seemed some amount of escalation in the evening shows.

The occupancy in the evening shows went to around 60 to 80 per cent. The collection went impressive. As per reports, the 1st-day box office collection for Laal Kaptaan went to around 6.2 Crores, which is still decent in many ways. The experts feel that the first day would witness some amount of buzz in the media and thus boost up the collection on the first weekend crossing to 20 Crores and reaching somewhere to 25 Crores. Well, let’s see how things would go for the film in the first weekend, but at the moment the figures on the box office for LK seems okay.
