Laal Ishq Marathi Movie Review

Lal-Ishq-Marathi-Movie Review

The Sanjay Leela Bhansali Marathi movie called Laal Ishq has finally released. The love cum murder mystery film is directed by Swapna Waghmare Joshi. The film has an interesting star cast, which include Swwapnil Joshi, Anjana Sukhani, Sneha Chavan and Jayant Wadkar in the lead roles, while Priya Berde, Piyush Ranade, Yashashri Masurkar, Milind Gawli, Uday Nene and Kamlesh Sawant are seen in the supporting roles. The film is a romantic thriller which has the story jotted down by Shirish Latkar and the music comes from Amitraaj and Nilesh Moharir. Now, let us dig in deep to get the crux of the film in the following paragraphs:

Plot

Meet Yash Patwardhan played by Swwapnil Joshi who with his theatre group drives to a resort based in Lonavala for their play rehearsal. There you have a love at one-sight between Janhavi (Anjana Sukhani) who is the manager of the resort with Yash, despite being both of them being committed to others. Meanwhile, the arrogant director of this play is murdered and you have two police officers Randive and his assistant is investigating the case. The two officers interrogate the love birds but get similar ersion of stories with one difference in the two that is seen unfolding over the screen in flashback. During the investigation, two more murders being committed at the backdrop of the resort and the police are finally seen coming close to one of the killers. So, what happens at the last is interesting to find out in your nearest theatres.

Swwapnil Joshi

Swwapnil Joshi is among the rare actors in M Town, who can be certainly called as a star. He simply does attract the audience to the theatres and is indeed among the commendable achievement in the film industry, which is deprived of such a fan following. His film friends, which was seen releasing earlier this year didn’t really had to make any mark and thus is vanished from the theatres without vanishing from the theatres without any trace. Hence, his fans would want to have a romantic film with a murder mystery having a twist. However, you can find a disappointment; hence you can find the movie to be poor at almost all the levels.

If there is one level in which the movie seems to be a decent one then it is the basic idea of the film, which makes the difference. In this movie, you can find two suspects of the murder case, who take the responsibility of interrogating. Their stores though are not seen matching; hence either of them are seen linked to the crime. This is certainly the theme not explored in the Marathi movie. However, with Laal Ishq with the romantic hero image of Joshi will compel rather hackneyed and clicked kind of love story, which proves out to be the major flaw of the movie.

Laal Ishq – Last Word

Laal Ishq can be called as a poorly made romance film, which is also a mystery movie. Despite having a decent cast stars like Joshi, the film has failed to deliver the theme, which it claims to cover in the film. This makes us to give the film a low rating.

Rating – 1.5
