He is one of the brothers of Siddharth Roy Kapur, the known producer and husband of Vidya Balan. Kunaal Roy Kapur is a known film director and actor of Bollywood movies. He hails from New Delhi. Kunal Roy Kapur started acting when he was barely 12 years of age in theatres and then headed Mumbai to pursue his dreams in making something big in Bollywood. After being attached to a number of theatre groups and doing certain plays he then to switched to the venture of photography under the then photograph Boman Irani who later turned an ace actor of B Town. Both his brothers are well settled in Bollywood, with Siddharth Roy Kapur being the CEO of UTV Motion Pictures, while the younger one Aditya R Kapur is an actor who acted in movies like Action Replayy, Aashiqui 2 and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and the recently released movie Dawaat-e-Ishq. He is married to the lady called Shayonti, while the couple has two kids – son Zahaan and daughter Shahaz.
He started his career his career by working in a Sony TV popular show of 2000 called Just Mohabbat, while later had a cameo role in the movie called Lions of Punjab in the year 2007. In the meantime, he continued working with theatres and directed a number of plays including the comedy one called The President is Coming in 2006. The play was later converted into the movie called mockumentary The President Is Coming in the year 2009, starring Shernaz Patel and Konkona Sen, which got mix reviews thus turning a semi hit. He then the TV show called Panga Naa Lo. He then was seen in the British adapted Indian comedy series called Mumbai Calling the same year in 2009 playign the character of a call centre executive.
His debut in Abhinav Deo’s movie called Dellhi Belly along with Imran Khan and Vir Das, which was produced by Aamir Khan in the year 2011. This followed another movie called Nautanki Saala in the year 2013 along with Ayushman Khurana, while later the same year he had a small role in the movie Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani playing the character of Kalki’s fiancée along with his younger brother Aditya Roy Kapur, Ranbir Singh and Deepika Padukone. His upcoming movie is Action Jackson directed by Prabhudeva wherein he would be seen along with actors like Ajay Devgan, Sonakshi, Yami Gautam, etc. This will be among the bigger roles in any Bollywood film for him apart from the other ones.
