Akshay Kumar on giving flops: “We all go through ups and downs in our life”

Raksha Bandhan Actor Akshay Kumar, who is the highest-paid actor in Bollywood, has given a lot of hits in his career. The actor, who is considered the “Khiladi of Bollywood”, has reached great heights with films like Sooryavanshi, Baby, Airlift, and Good News, among others.

However, the actor has been giving back-to-back flops recently, with a big-budget Bachchan Pandey failing at the box office and then Samrat Prithviraj. Akshay now has high hopes for his upcoming film, Raksha Bandhan, which opens tomorrow and competes with Aamir’s Laal Singh Chaddha.

When asked about the continuous flops he is giving, he said that it doesn’t have any impact on him as he understands that ups and downs are a part of everybody’s life. Akshay did a lot of movies in his career that discussed social issues and also gave a strong message to the audience and received a lot of praise.

According to the actor, their work is to make a film, not be responsible for each and everything. Everyone would feel strong to move forward in their career if their movies worked, but taking responsibility is too much. ”

Akshay then talked about how he had experienced failure in his career earlier also. He stated, “This occurred various times in my acting career.” And obviously, ups and downs are a part of life. You already give your best in making a movie and then promoting the movie, which also lands you in several problems. “

The 54-year-old actor has been in the industry for three decades, with over 100 movies on his work list. His debut movie was the 1991 film, Saugandh.

Recalling his Bollywood journey, Akshay said, “I feel like Khiladi and Saugandh were released yesterday only.”

“When I recall my journey in the industry, I never realize how these 31 years have passed and I feel like Khiladi and Saugandh happened recently. It’s an amazing feeling. Yes, time flies and everything happens so quickly. ”

His latest movie, Raksha Bandhan, which also stars Bhumi Pednekar, will be released in theatres tomorrow, August 11th. It is their second collaboration and Bhumi was his co-star in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.
