Konkona Sen Sharma has been a known actress in B Town who is known for her talent and performances in different movies. Now, as per the latest buzz, the actress has turned a director for Zee Studios as the known production house has roped in the lady as a director for their upcoming digital venture. As per reports, she would be directing a web series based on the life of Arati Das who is also called Miss Shefali.
The said web series will cover the life of the QUeen of Cabaret from Calcutta that will also showcase the Bengali politics of the sixties and the seventies with the narrative of her life’s journey. Talking about the new venture, Konkona Sen Sharma said that the entire era of post-partition along with the pre-liberalisation has always fascinated her a lot. Since she hails from Kolkata she has been very much aware of the topic and knew that it can have a unique story as well.
She said the project is too interesting to miss and hence she had decided to be the director of the web series. Zee Studio’s official while talking about the venture said that they are excited to join hands with Sent as the director of the web show. They said the filmmaking happens to be in her blood and vein and as she comes from the same trade and city, she can do justice to the venture. They said they would embark upon with curated stories, which would remind the audience of their past and remain untold so far covering dramas, comedies, and crime thriller as well.
