Koena Mita is a model, actress and beauty queen who work in B Town films. She was born on 7th January 1984 in a Bengali Hindu family. She went to attend Lee Strasberg Acting School after doing her bachelor’s degree in Psychology, while she was trained in swimming, basketball and tennis. In fact, Koena Mitra won the title for the above sports as well. When it comes to starting up her career, she did with modeling, which she first got when she was in her school only, which was in 2001. She then participated in the Miss Intercontinental Pageant in Germany wherein there was a representation out of 84 nations.
Though she didn’t won the title, but it gave her good recognition in the media getting her a couple of commercial for bands like Mrinda, All Clear Clinic, Alto (Maruti), beauty and jewelry products. She also walked in a number of ramps including the fashion shows at Milan and Beijing. While working with her modeling career, she got the chance to work in music videos including the ones called Ishq from Stereo Nation, Akn Teri, Aaj Ki Raat and Channo by Jassi. Her B Town movie included the one in the Ram Gopal Varma’s film called Road. In the year 2004, she was seen in Musafir along with Anil Kapoor.
Koena Mitra went on to appear another successful film Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena and Apna Sapna Money Money. Now talking about her personal life, she had to undergo a surgery, which almost ruined her professional acting career. Her nose was damaged and she had to sit at her home for around six months without actually making any other appearances. This surgery made her bones to swell up due to which she was denied work as she lost her glamour look over her face. She has got some offers from the regional cinema including Tamil and Bengali, which has made her busy.
