The historical film starring Akshay Kumar called Kesari seems to be riding high at the box office. It has finally entered into the 100 Crore even before completing the second weekend. The Anurag Singh film is based on the battle of Saragarhi, which was fought between the 10k Afghan tribes and British Army against the Sikh regiment which had only 21 people. But with their might and wit, they were able to hold the army for not less than a day and thus turned the table allowing the enemy to flee.
As per reports, the film Kesari has entered into the hundred crore club with its collection reaching to INR 105.96 Crores. Taran Adarsh, as usual, was quick to share the figures at the microblogging site – Twitter. The film on the first day has gained 21 Crores, while the first-weekend collection went to around 69 Crores, while after the week, the collection was close to 100 Crores. The film has done well in the northern Indian towns and cities, while the business in the south was average.
The film has bagged good reviews by most of the critics and the action performed by the lead actors particularly Akshay Kumar was applauded for his fierce actions sequences. This is Akshay Kumar’s first film in 2019, while there are many films that are being lined up to release this year including Housefull 4 and Good News, while he has several other projects as well. Kesari was released on 21st March, and it has done well at the box office and continue to do well.
