Media Collective has officially unveiled Kesari Chapter 2, a film that seeks to reveal the untold story of the horrific Jallianwala Bagh massacre. It highlights the bravery of one man who dared to confront the British Empire in pursuit of justice.
Trailer Review: The trailer opens with Akshay Kumar portraying C Sankaran Nair, who fiercely cross-examines General Dyer, the principal architect of the massacre. As Dyer refers to the victims as terrorists, Nair confronts him, questioning whether the innocent children killed in the shooting were also considered ‘terrorists’. This moment introduces us to the resilience and determination of C Sankaran Nair, who is prepared to challenge the crown and seek justice for the victims of Jallianwala Bagh. We witness him fighting a case of genocide against the British Empire in the aftermath of the tragic event.
Ananya Panday portrays Dilreet Gill, serving as Nair’s assistant lawyer during a time when female lawyers were few and far between in pre-Independence India. However, Nair faces formidable opposition in Neville Mckinley, played by R. Madhavan, who is representing the crown.
