thappad

Just when the people on Twitter pointed out the similarity in posters of Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship with the posters of the film‘Jallikattu’ of Lijo Jose Pellissery we have a similar story for Thappad as well. After the release of several posters and the trailer, people on the Microblogging site were quick to pose the plagiarism issue for Taapsee Pannu’s film as well. It seemed too similar to the the poster of a Mexican film ‘After Lucia’.

People on Twitter shared the two posters side by side to compare the two, let’s check as under:

Taapsee Pannu has shared her upcoming film’s poster before the official trailer hit the media this Friday. The film with Anubhav Sinha has now become the talk of the town, especially among the netizens. The trailer got a good response and the subject of the film was also applauded in the media. A few people also claimed that it is a tight slap on Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the Kabir Singh fame director.

The director has been in discussion for showcasing the slap between the two lovers calling it an important part of love. He earlier justified the slap saying that when people are in love they tend to be physical and it one of the ways of showcasing mutual love. His statement brought too many eyeballs in the scene. Now, talking about the film Thappad, it is about domestic violence and a story of a woman who knocks the door of court to seek justice for the slap she got in public from her hubby.
