Police arrived on the area and sent out a bomb disposal crew after getting the information. A comprehensive search was carried out by experts both inside and outside the residence. Strong security was put in place outside Vijay’s home after the event. But as of yet, there has been no formal confirmation that any hazardous material has been found. In the meantime, images from the incident have appeared on media platforms and social media.

The entire state is in shock after the stampede during Vijay’s electoral rally in Karur. 41 people have died as a result of the Saturday night event. There were five girls, five youngsters, 18 women, and 13 men among the dead. The Karur district accounted for 34 of these, with two apiece from Erode, Tiruppur, and Dindigul, and one from Salem district. Numerous people lost consciousness due to the large throng and had to be admitted to local hospitals.

Vijay offered his sincere condolences and promised financial support to the impacted families in the wake of this unfortunate catastrophe. He declared that the families of the deceased would receive Rs 20 lakh apiece, while the injured would receive Rs 2 lakh each. Vijay conveyed his own sorrow at the event. He said that such accidents shouldn’t happen at political rallies because of inadequate security and administration.

A plea to bar Vijay’s party, TVK, from hosting any public gatherings, rallies, or events until the Karur stampede probe is finished was considered by the Madras High Court on Sunday. The state administration was instructed to respond by Justice N. Senthilkumar, who also ordered an urgent hearing. Additionally, Vijay petitioned the court to have the CBI, or a Special probe Team (SIT) conduct an unbiased probe.
