On Friday evening, Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan announced on Instagram that his mother had been diagnosed with breast cancer. The ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ star shared a photo with his mother and disclosed in a lengthy statement that his mother just fought and won the “dark” war against cancer. He explained that the “big C – Cancer” entered their life some time ago, but through “willpower and resilience,” they turned to the “larger C – Courage ” and overcome the challenge.
The actor’s caption read “Some time ago during this month the Big C – ‘Cancer’ sneakily crept in and tried to rattle the lives of our family! We were frazzled and helpless beyond despair! But thanks to the willpower, resilience and never give up attitude of this fierce soldier – My Mom, we turned to the Bigger C- ‘Courage’ and marched with all our might and Won the dark but destined to win war! What it taught us eventually and continues to teach us every day, is that there’s no superpower bigger than the love and support of your family!”

Meanwhile, according to recent media speculations, Kartik will be seen sharing the screen for the first time with Katrina Kaif in Kabir Khan’s upcoming full-fledged action drama. Although there has been no formal confirmation from the producers, the film is expected to begin production soon. Kartik Aaryan was most recently seen in ‘Shehzada’, a remake of the Telugu film ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo,’ starring Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde. The film was a colossal flop, grossing barely Rs. 30 crore at the box office.
