Just when most of the Diva in Bollywood including Kareena Kapoor was seen complaining about being underpaid the Heroine star is seen taking U turn on her statement. Now, she claimed that she has no qualms about the remuneration system in the film world as she is being paid a fair amount by the filmmakers. On the contrary the other leading Diva of Bollywood Priyanka Chopra and Vidya Balan seems to be complaining about the same as their co lead stars are being paid three times the female lead roles. Kareena has no regrets now about the payments she get for her work. She went ahead further to say that there could be disparity on the payment issue for other female actress as far as she is concerned, she happy with the way she is being paid.
Furthermore, she was seen saying that every actress in B Town is different and this difference only make and mar the remuneration system found in the Bollywood. If you are given bold and courageous roles like that of The Dirty Picture, you are supposed to be paid more, and she cannot act on such movies though her character in Golmaal 3 proved to be very much challenging for her. On the contrary, when she was asked about Vidya Balan and her role in The Dirty Picture, she was seen singing a different tune at that time by applauding and making positive hopes for the actress to find new and challenging work. At the very same time, she was seen saying that the disparity in payments for female lead actors needs to be taken seriously and that she would fight for the equal pay cheques for both the gender actors. Now, as we hear in B Town the old axiom- ‘Raat Gayi, Baat Gayi’ she seems to be believing on this and thus changing her statement too.
