Karan Oberoi has been in news of late for many reasons and one big reason was the rape charges against him. As per reports, he is facing the charges of raping a woman who happens to be an astrologer by profession. The actor was arrested on 4th May who filed a complaint against the actor for raping her. The actor was then booked and after the interrogation he was sent out for a judicial custody. However, he applied for bail but his bail application was rejected by Dindoshi sessions court in Mumbai on 15th May as he was facing the said allegation.
However, with extra efforts, his lawyers knocking the doors of High Court, he was given a bail with a fine of Rs. 50,000 of raping the astrologer. The victim was seen registering an FIR for the said allegation and also claimed that the actor was blackmailing the lady. She also said that the actor has promised to marry her but later turned down this offer. Over the years, the lady has given the actor many gifts considering their healthy bond and stable relationship.
The lower courts have denied him the bail as he has filmed the rape in his camera by making the lady intoxinated and later also blackmailed her along with getting money from her. So with all these charges, the actor failed to get the bail. Karan Oberoi on the other side claimed that it was mutual and that the lady has been blackmailing her for this. Talking about his work, he seems to be out unemployed with not much of work in his kitty. He has remained in Boy Band called A Band of Boys in 2001 and has even acted in a couple of TV series including Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahi along with the web series Inside Edge.
