Karan Johar’s TAKHT with Ensemble Star cast to hit the floor in February 2020
It was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which remained Karan Johar directorial venture and now almost three years hence we see him announcing his next film as a director called Thakt. The film has been made headlines thanks to rich content and the ensemble star cast, which include Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Kareena Kapoor, Jhanvi Kapoor, and Bhumi Pednekar. The film has been delayed for different reasons and now we finally have an update about this film.
The film is likely to hit the floor in February 2020 with its first shoot schedule. The makers are now working on the pre-production phase that includes several things like the set design, locations along with the other aspects of this period drama film. Also, the makers are working on the diction and mannerisms on the silver screen. At the same time, they are working on the visual effects as well along with the shooting of the project, which is all set to come on time.
The star cast of the film would have a different avatar in the film and Karan Johar is going to hold a series of workshop for the star cast to get into the shoes of the given characters. The film is based on a story of two warring brothers – Aurangzeb and Dara Shikoh. It deals with the war between the two brothers with Vicky Kaushal being Aurangzeb and Ranveer Singh as the elder brother Dara Shikoh. Kareena Kapoor would be playing the first lady role of Mughal Empire called Jahanara Begum the sister of the two fighting brothers. Anil Kapoor will be playing the role of Shah Jahaan.
