Karan Johar’s next venture Takht to hit the floor this December
Karan Johar’s next venture is Takht that remains the most awaited movies of B Town. It is a period drama and Karan Johar would be directing this film, which boasts with top actors of B Town including Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Anil Kapoor in the lead role. The film happens to be a mega-budget movie and remains the most awaited films of 2020.
Though we hear lots of speculations about the film that it has been relayed due to the failure of films like Kalank and Student of The Year 2, but the rumors soon died down when sources close to the filmmaker revealed that since it is an epic drama it requires lots of preparations that would need much more time to make things in perfect order. Talking about the film, Kareena Kapoor confirmed that she would be returning on Karan Johar’s next film Thakt and that it was nice talking with him as a director in films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham in 2001.
The film Takht happens to be made in Mughal era, which showcases the tale of two warring brothers – Dara Shikoh and Aurangzeb. The film is based on the war that has taken place between the two brothers who remain the sons of Shah Jahan. Vicky Kaushal would be playing the role of Aurangzeb in it while Ranveer Singh will be playing his elder brother Dara Shikoh. Kareena Kapoor Khan would be playing the role of Aurangzeb’s sister – Jahanara Begum, while Anil Kapoor would be playing Shah Jahan in it. the film is hitting the screens in 2020.
