Karan Johar wants Alia Bhatt to play Twinkle Khanna in his biopic

Alia Bhatt Karan johar

Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt’s camaraderie stems from Bhatt’s Student of the Year days when the filmmaker launched Alia in the industry in a grandeur fashion. Since then Karan has been a father figure and mentor for the actress who has reached new heights in her career since Soty with brilliant performances in movies like Highway, Udta Punjab and Dear Zindagi. At the recently held Hello! Hall of Fame Awards, Alia was bestowed with the Outstanding Talent of the Year award. It was Karan himself who gave the award to his protégée, Alia. According to a leading tabloid, an emotional Karan said, “She is my second daughter and third child,”

To this Alia replied jokingly saying that she would play Karan’s mom Hiroo Johar if there was a biopic ever made on Karan. Karan then replied, “You aren’t Sindhi enough.”Karan then stated that Alia should play his childhood bestie Twinkle Khanna, instead. Karan has said many times in the past that his first love was Twinkle aka Tina. They have been friends for the longest time and Twinkle is a very close confidante of Karan’s so it makes sense that KJo would want Alia to play her role in his biopic.

Meanwhile, Twinkle too was honoured with the Visionary Woman of the Year award. In her speech, Twinkle said, “I might not deserve this award, and I definitely didn’t deserve the name Twinkle, which was a major reason for me being bullied as a kid.”She then went on thank her mom Dimple Kapadia and said, “She wasn’t always an exceptional actress, but she didn’t let failures get to her
