After the debacle of the film Kalank, the popular filmmaker of B Town Karan Johar is back in news for his next film Takht. The film is an epic drama based on the story of Mughals in India. The film has been in the news ever since Karan Johar announced in the media. The film has been delayed since there are lot many things to be carried out in the phase of pre-production phase. As it involves the old India there are many things to be recreated for the film hence it is taking time making the delay at the start of the film.
Karan Johar while talking about the film said he will be directing the film and has been working on it for the past three years. He said that he has faced a lot of hurdles in his way while making the film. He said there are many more things that are required for the film that even scares him at times. He said that his production house is still facing a lot many issues and setback with the failure of his last film Kalank. In fact, his other film – Student of The Year 2 also did an average business.
However, he is very much excited to make another epic drama and has worked hard to get things done for it. On the other side, he is also nervous as to how the audience would take up the film. Talking about the film, he said that the delay in the film will now push the release date and it will release in Christmas 2020. The film has Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in the leading roles.
