The popular filmmaker of B Town, Karan Johar has simply dropped the vital details about the upcoming directorial venture called Takht, but when we compare the epic set during the era of Mughal to the family drama, it is close to Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham as shared by the director himself in his latest interview to the media. He then even shared a couple of other details about the movie in his interview. The film is about the two warring brothers, while it is based on the real facts. If you check the speculations about the movie, it is based on a war between the son of Shahjehan called Aurangzeb and Dara Shikoh.
Ranveer Singh will be seen playing the character of Aurangzeb, while Kareena Kapoor Khan will be playing the character of his sister in the film. She will be doing her the first role of a Mughal Empire lady called Jahanara Begum, though the news is yet to be officially confirmed. The audience were in a shock when Karan Johar was seen taking up this venture as he has never experimented in period dramas and epic films. We know Karan Johar making films only in contemporary topics and age. In terms of scale the film Takht would be the biggest film of Karan Johar. He has made films mostly on families and issues revolving around it.
