Karan Johar is now gearing up for his next ambitious project called Takht. It is his highest big-budget film. He calls it a lavish and ambitious film that remains both epic and expensive in his career. If you compare with his earlier expensive films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Agneepath and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, it seems way ahead of the trio. He is now all set to begin the preparation under the banner called Dharma Productions films.
As per reports, the budget of Takht is around 250 crores and it will likely increase as well. After all, it will have a huge star cast where he works with some of the best actors of B Town including Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednkar, is being paid huge when compared to their market prices. Although the stars were not keen to be paid huge but Karan insisted on taking their share to the higher side that suits their market price.”
Also, the under-production sci-fi/mythological of the film Brahmastra will cost him huge. So, it will be a challenge to manage the big budget movies for K Jo together. This Ayan Mukerji directed film is yet another magnum opus with stars like Big B, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Nagarjuna that seemed to be a big-budget film. However, comparing with Takht, it will be lesser in terms of cost. Kaan is all set to hit the film Thakt on the floor in March 2020 taking up all the challenges and setting things in perfect order.
