Karan Johar Announces Major Film Slate for 2028

Karan Johar and his production house, Dharma Productions, are planning a massive lineup of big-budget feature films for 2028. The famous producer is stepping into new genres and expanding his theatrical release plans. Production work for these upcoming projects is already moving forward in full swing.

Dharma Productions plans to start shooting three major movies in 2027. The first project is RN Kao, an epic spy thriller based on the life of the founder of India’s Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW). The second film is Gadadhari Bheem, which will be a modern superhero story inspired by characters from the ancient Indian epic, the Mahabharata.

The third film in this big lineup is titled Radha Krishna. This movie will present the legendary love story of Lord Krishna and Radha, combining deep devotion with high-octane action scenes. In addition to these three projects, Karan Johar is collaborating with director Sandeep Modi on an untitled mythology-based creature film starring actor Kartik Aaryan in the main lead.

Before these major 2028 releases hit the big screen, Dharma Productions has several other movies prepared for audiences. In 2027, the banner will release two feature films titled Lag Jaa Gale and Nagzilla. The production team is also preparing for Vishkanya, starring Rajkummar Rao and Pratibha Ranta, which starts filming in December. These projects include director Prosit Roy’s upcoming movie featuring Lakshya and Vedika Pinto, along with the long-awaited project Dostana 2.
