Two films – Kapoor and Sons and Air Lift – two different stories. One is a typical family film revolving around family life while the other deals with war and its aftermath inspired by real incidents witnessed during the Gulf War when Iraq attacked Kuwait. Now, let’s start with the Karan Johar film Kapoor and Sons. The film has overtaken the overseas collection and thus has beaten up the Akshay Kumar starrer film Airlift with a small margin.
As per reports, the film has earned around 43.7 crores (6.61 USD) in the overseas market. On the other side, the Akshay Kumar starrer film Airlift managed to earn only 42.19 crores (6.38 USD) in the international market. It seems that Kapoor and Sons with an interesting star cast like Fawad Khan, Siddharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt, Ratna Pathak Shah and Rishi Kapoor has won the hearts of overseas audience, which has brought down the Akshay Kumar starrer film. This has made the film Kapoor And Sons to be top grosser in international market in 2016.
