Kapoor & Sons First Day Opening Box Office Collection
So, as expected the Karan Johar film releasing today called Kapoor & Sons since 1921 has done well. Thanks to the high pre-release buzz found in the media, the film has managed to witness a good occupancy in the first day. As per reports, the film opening up with a good occupancy report that tolled to around 35 percent and it went on escalating in the coming shows including both the evening and night shows tolling to 70 to 80 percent. The promotions of the film seemed like a quick fire and it was known in the media for its high star value. Thanks to stars like Siddharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Fawad Khan and don’t forget the starts like Rajat Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor.
And above all, the branded company producing the film under the banner of Dharma Productions, which is known for producing movies with a tagline – its all about loving your family also made the difference. As per reports, the first day box office collection for Kapoor and Sons tolled to around 9.5 crores, which is really a good figure. Let’s not forget that there is no major release this and the past week, which has also helped the film to prosper over the box office. After all it’s a starry affair, which is likely to be sidelined by anyone – forget the HR starrer film.
However, the trade pundits are not so optimistic about Saturday’s collection unlike the first day since you have a T20 World Cup India Pakistan Cricket Match, which is likely steal the show. So far, the film has managed to do better in the multiplexes and is likely to get similar response in the coming first weekend as well though with low Saturday but the coming Sunday would be better than the earlier. Hence one can expect 25 to 30 crores in the first week. Let’s see how things move on?
