Now, Ranveer Singh will portray the Indian cricketer Kapil Dev in his upcoming movie ‘83’. The film is about victory of the Indian cricket team at the 1983 World Cup finals.
The news update revealed that Ranveer Singh will be trained for his role by the cricketer himself, Kapil Dev! There will be a boot camp, where all the actors of the film will be trained for cricket. London plays a significant role in the film, so a major portion of the first schedule will be shot in London. The entire World Cup sequence is likely to be filmed in its first schedule.
Talking about Ranveer Singh’s upcoming Bollywood films, he will be seen essaying Sultan Alauddin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’. The actor will be portraying a negative character and sports never-seen-before look in the movie. The majestic period-drama also stars Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor. The film has raised the curiosity of the audience with its gripping trailer, eye catching first look posters and the different looks of the lead characters.
