Kannada actress Chaitra Hallikeri has filed an FIR against her father-in-law and husband alleging misappropriation of their bank accounts, police informed on Tuesday. The actress claimed in her complaint that the couple had withdrawn a gold loan out of her account without her knowledge. Chaitra Hallikeri claims her husband and father-in-law had threatened her life after she approached the police. However, this story has gotten a lot of attention for a variety of reasons.

For the uninitiated, Chaitra Hallikeri is married to Balaji Pothraj and was happily married till she discovered the swindle. With only a few films under her belt, the actress has already cemented a particular place in the hearts of her fans. She appeared in films such as Gurushishyaru and Sri Danamma Devi.

 

She had previously filed a police report against her husband, Balaji Pothraj, for allegedly hitting her, according to authorities. Chaitra Hallikeri has appeared in the films “Gurushishyaru” and “Sri Danamma Devi.” The police have filed a complaint under sections 468, 406, 409, 420, 506, 34 of the Indian Penal Code. Mysuru city police have filed a complaint and are investigating the incident.

According to The Times Of India, Chaitra Hallikeri, a Kannada actress, has filed a FIR against her in-laws and husband, Balaji Pothraj, accusing them of manipulating her bank statement for their own gain. Reportedly, police has confirmed the same. The actress had already filed a complaint against her husband for allegedly physically assaulting her.
