Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency Secures Censor Certificate; Release Date Announcement Coming Soon

The much-anticipated film Emergency, directed by and starring Kangana Ranaut, has officially obtained its censor certificate, marking a significant step forward in its journey to the big screen. With considerable buzz surrounding the project, Kangana will portray the iconic former Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi.
Taking to social media, Kangana Ranaut announced, “We are excited to share that we have received the censor certificate for our movie Emergency. Stay tuned for the release date announcement coming soon. Thank you for your patience and support! The film’s team, alongside Kangana, is now gearing up for the release and will reveal the official date shortly.  She tweeted on the popular microblogging website called X (formerly known as Twitter) stating this update, check her message going viral at the moment on the web or social networking sites, now have a look as under: 

 

The trailer, which premiered in August, suggests that Emergency will focus on the tumultuous Emergency period in India during the 1980s, delving into the complexities and challenges of that era. The film is written and directed by Kangana Ranaut herself, while Emergency features a talented cast that includes Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair, and the late Satish Kaushik in key roles. Produced by Zee Studios and Manikarnika Films, the film boasts a musical score by Sanchit Balhara and G.V. Prakash Kumar, with screenplay and dialogues crafted by Ritesh Shah.
