Kangana Ranaut rubbishes rumours about the release date of Thalaivi

Kangana Ranaut had unveiled the trailer of her upcoming film Thalaivi in March on her birthday since then the film has become the much-awaited film of the actress. The film was initially settled to release in April. But due to the pandemic, the makers had to postpone the shoot. Now looking at the situation there were rumours that the makers are planning to release the film soon. However, Kangana rubbished the reports and urged all not to believe in such rumours.

Taking to Instagram stories, Kangana wrote, “No release date has been finalised for Thalaivi yet, please refrain from rumours. We will release the film as and when cinemas open all across the country. Thanks.”

The film is directed by AL Vijay. Thalaivi is based on the life story of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. Apart from Kangana the film also features Arvind Swami and Bhagyashree among others.

Meanwhile, the Queen actress is presently busy shooting for her upcoming film Dhaakad in Budapest. Recently the actress shared her BTS photo from the sets and called it ‘most Vicious Of Them All’. Directed by Razneesh Ghai the film also stars Divya Dutta, Arjun Rampal, among others. According to the reports, Dhaakad is gearing up for release on October 1. Kangana will also be seen in Tejas, Tiku Weds Sheru and Emergency in which she will play the role of Indira Gandhi. The actress is turning a producer with Tiku Weds Sheru and a solo director with Emergency.
