The last time we saw Kangana Ranaut was in the film Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi and she was applauded for her work. Interestingly, she also directed the film along with the other man. Currently, she has two films in his kitty- the J.Jayalalithaa biopic and Panga by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari along with her upcoming movie called Mental Hai Kya with Rajkummar Rao. Also, the other film that remains the most awaited include her own biopic, which will be announced soon.
She also had signed one film from Anurag Basu called Imali, but as per reports, she has decided to opt out from the venture. The reason she gave was the date issues as she will not be able to manage between the films given to her. As per reports, she is now keen on focussing more on the more significant projects rather than working on small-time films like Imali. Also, the film Imali was supposed to hit the floor in November 2018, but it got delayed thus allowing Kangi is opting out from the same.
She said that she always wanted to work with Rajkummar Rao and with her mentor Anurag Basu, but with her busy schedule, she is not able to work with the said film. She will get busy soon in the coming weeks for her films that are lined up. She will play the role of a Kabbadi player in the film Panga and she will also star with actors like Jassi Gill, Neena Gupta, and Richa Chadha. The film is expected to hit the screens in 2020.
