Pooja Chopra is a popular Indian model and actress from B Town. She came into limelight by winning Femina Miss India in 2009, while she was even among the semi finalist over the Miss World, however, she was able to bag the award of Beauty with a Purpose in the very same Miss Word Pageant contest. She is one of the only Indian to have total eight national and international titles in just one year. She hails from Kuber Park a popular place in Pune, Maharashtra wherein she was brought by her single mother and grandmother. Her schooling and college was carried out in Pune only. However, she was born in Kolkata, but the ill treatment from her father compelled her mother to relocate to Pune and raise her two daughters.

Wiki : Pooja Chopra career started with beauty pageant wherein she was first crowned as Femina Miss India – East in Kolkata in the year 2009. She later won the same year the Miss Perfect 10, Miss Beautiful Smile, Miss Catwalk, Best Body by Talwarkars and the popular Nakshatra Miss Sparkling Beauty content. Here she was among the top ten finalists in the Femina Miss India in the year 2009. Finally, in April 2009 Pooja Chopra was among the top winner of Pantaloons Femina Miss India-World. The same year she participated in Miss Word, unfortunately, she met a small accident while running down over the stais of the flight just one week before the Miss Word Competition. She was advised to rest for three weeks, however, she continued to participate when finally she was barred to complete the dance round, which eventually made her to retain at the 16th position.

However, during the same contest, she won the title for Beauty With a Purpose, which was based on her contribution in a charity program called Nanhi Kali back in India. She helped this program to bag an award of 10,000 dollars, which deals with combating with poverty among the girls. During the same period she got the chance to endorse a number of brands including Tata Docomo, Richfeel, Bajaj Allainz, Root Comb, Juvederm Voluma, etc. She was on the top of Times most beautiful Women list, which comprised 50 beautiful faces in India.

Her different titles in Beauty contest and pageants helped her to get debut in the film world, which started with a south Indian movie called Ponnar Shankar. It was a Tamil movie wherein she played the character of Princess Muthaayi in opposite to Prashanth Thiagarajan. With this she also got a couple of Bollywood movies with smaller roles including the popular movie called Fashion and Heroine by the known director Madhur Bhandarkar. The very same year in 2012, she was seen in an English Documentary film called The World Before Her and soon seen in the lead role in a film called Commando directed by Vipul Shah and the lead star male role had Vidyut Jammwal. She got positive reviews about her performance in the said movie.
